Our Covid-19 Policy

In accordance with current state and federal COVID-19 guidelines, we are no longer requiring masks for our programs regardless of vaccination status but encourage our participants and families to do what they are most comfortable with. Our partner for snow sports, Ski Sundown, is not requiring masks inside of their buildings and facilities, or outdoors, regardless of vaccination status.  Our plan is to continue to follow all state and federal COVID-19 guidelines and to adapt our operating procedures as these recommendations change. Keeping our participants, families and volunteers safe while enjoying time outdoors is our top priority. Please check back regularly to stay informed of any adjustments to our policies if/when they become necessary. We hope that this information helps to alleviate any concerns that you may have and we can’t wait to see you!

Sports Protection Policy

Summit Adaptive Sports Center is dedicated to protecting our athletes that participate in our programming. Summit Adaptive Sports has constructed a protection policy to enhance our background check and is designed to increase our community’s knowledge base, create stronger detection and protection systems for our programs, and to establish entry barriers for abusers.

A copy of our Sports Protection Handbook will be available upon request shortly.

Essential Eligibility Criteria

Essential eligibility criteria (criteria to be able to participate successfully) can vary based on individual sports and the adaptive equipment an individual may need for a successful lesson.  Some pieces of our adaptive equipment do have weight limits (approximately 180 lbs, depending on specific equipment recommended).   It is important that we sometimes discuss individual situations with you and the Program Director after reviewing the Participant Registration Form so that we may assess how to proceed or to talk about alternative sport options.  In addition, some behaviors may limit lesson availability but again, please contact us to review individual situations. This criteria is aimed at ensuring that our adaptive equipment, as well as trained coaches available, can safely support each individual need based on their current abilities.
