Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding
Once you completed the Participant Registration Form, please allow 3 days for us to process. Then you must call Ski Sundown's Welcome Center to reserve and book your lesson or program: (860) 379-7669 ext. 211
Be sure to discuss participation in sports lessons with Summit Adaptive Sports with your (your family member's) physician and receive a recommendation to participate prior to starting with us each season.
Lesson Information for the 2023-2024 Season at Ski Sundown:
We offer two types of lesson packages for skiers and snowboarders, see details below:
- Individual
- Multi-Lesson (5 week package, called Summit Explorers for weekend packages and Club Summit for midweek packages).
Individual Adaptive Lesson Package
PACKAGE INCLUDES:

2 ½ hours of private instruction (includes time for equipment fitting)

Adaptive and/or standard ski or snowboard equipment

Lift ticket

Handicap parking is available on the left and right of the main footbridge entrance.

You can also purchase a lift ticket for one person accompanying adaptive lesson participant.

Weekends: Saturday and Sundays 9:30 am & 1:00 pm
Midweek:

Monday & Wednesday 3:00 pm & 5:30 pm

Individual Lesson Package Prices
PRIVATE ADAPTIVE PACKAGE:

Price: Midweek $90, Weekend $110

For ages 4+. Any skill level. Includes 2 ½ hour private lesson, adaptive and/or standard ski or snowboard (by request) equipment, and lift ticket. Handicap parking is available.

ACCOMPANYING ADAPTIVE PARTICIPANT TICKET:

Price: Midweek $35, Weekend $45
Valid for all lifts when accompanying lesson. Limited to one participant.

Maximum of 5 Individual Lesson Packages per participant/season, additional requests will be placed on waitlist.
Multi-Lesson Adaptive Program Packages
OFFERED WEEKDAYS (Club Summit) & WEEKENDS (Summit Explorers):

2½ hour semi-private lesson scheduled over 5 weeks for approved Summit Adaptive Sports skiers.

For ages 4+. Skiers and Snowboarders (by request). Includes rental equipment, if needed.

Students will enjoy learning and skiing in a more independent setting, guided by adaptive instructors.

Skiing and snowboarding are dynamic, fluid sports of motion in a winter environment that requires constant awareness and judgment by skiers or snowboarders to overcome the inherent risks of the sport. Ski Sundown is committed to skiing or snowboarding safety and expects all skiers or snowboarders who choose to ski or snowboard at Ski Sundown to follow Your Responsibility Code listed below and other posted rules and regulations that are designed to make a visit to Ski Sundown a great experience for everyone.

Always stay in control and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.

People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.

You must not stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above.

Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.

Always use devices to prevent runaway equipment.
-
Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.

Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.
